This iris has very attractive foliage all summer. Planted by a pond, Blue King does not get floppy, so even when the beautiful buds and flowers are gone, its a winner from a subscriber to DavesGarden.com, gardening in Canada.

Siberian Iris is the one that forms an elegant clump of tall deep green grass-like leaves, with flowers on long stems that open above the foliage. With flowers somewhat smaller than the huge Bearded Iris, these are the ones that are the easiest to grow and surely the most hardy. Clumps return dependably each year with more and more flowers. Great landscape plants.

Coreopsis - Moonbeam

The Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam’, Coreopsis verticillata, is the most popular perennial in its family. ‘Moonbeam’ was named Perennial of the Year in 1995 and one can see why. With its clusters of light yellow, daisy-like blooms and its green airy fernlike foliage, ‘Moonbeam’ Coreopsis blooms from June through October and is mildew resistant. ‘Moonbeam’ stands at 24” and has a plant spread of 18-24”. ‘Moonbeam’ should be planted in full sun.

It is drought-tolerant and tough but does need well-drained soil. It should be cut backing early and late summer to extend the bloom period. Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam’ looks great with Coreopsis ‘Sweet Dreams’, and with any type of grass, in borders or mass plantings in sunny gardens. No garden should be without it.

Any of various plants of the genus Coreopsis in the composite family, especially the North American species, having showy radiate flower heads with yellow or, rarely, purplish flowers.

既然上文从月光扯到了甜梦。只好把甜梦也帖出~甜梦，呵呵~

The Coreopsis ‘Sweet Dreams’ is a wonderful new variety to the Coreopsis family. The dark green thread-like foliage makes a great contrast with its tipped white flower bleeding into a dark raspberry center, blooming from June through October. ‘Sweet Dreams’ is extremely drought tolerant with a plant height of 18” and a spread of 18-24”. With cool autumn weather, the flowers make an even more outstanding color scheme. ‘Sweet Dreams’ should be planted in full sun.

The Aster ‘Professor Kippenburg’, Aster novae-angliae, has beautiful vivid purple daisy-like flowers that cover the plant. The flowers are 1-2” wide with a plant width of 12-18” and a height of 18-20”. It is a definite showstopper. ‘Professor Kippenburg’, blooming in the early fall till frost, is a definite butterfly and bird attractor. ‘Professor Kippenburg’ looks great in borders and mass plantings. The effect is indescribable.

Aster ‘Professor Kippenburg’ does require full sun, but can take some afternoon shade, in a moderate soil range with good drainage that does not become extremely dry during the summer. Aster ‘Professor Kippenburgs’ make an excellent container plant or front of the garden feature and looks great with ornamental grasses.

这阵子贴了不少Daisy雏菊、Aster紫菀、波斯菊、非洲菊系列的花儿，其实我最喜欢的就是这些野菊花，原因就说不上来~经常沉浸在他们的美丽中不能自拔~

这一款 Professor Kippenburg 不知道出自何典？

Geranium - Brookside :

The Geranium ‘Brookside’ has rich, sapphire-blue flowers that bloom from June till August. With its beautiful dark green foliage, it has a plant width of 23-27” and a height of 18”. ‘Brookside’ needs to be cut back in early summer for repeat bloom time in the fall. ‘Brookside’ Geranium, being drought tolerant, needs a full sun area with some shade in the afternoon. For best results, plant in a dry to moist area in a well-drained site. >/p>

The Geranium family is well known for its stunning fall colors that include reds, oranges, and yellows. It is a superb plant for cottage gardens, container growing, borders or informal borders in mass plantings. There is an attraction to bees and butterflies and it is very disease and deer resistant. A great plant for a beginner gardener.

为多年生草本植物。 分布于中国南部、西南部；越南、印度、马来西亚至澳大利亚也有。株高约1.5m。叶片矩圆状披针形，反面被短柔毛。穗状花序着生于假茎顶端，花序长10～20cm，顶生苞片绿色，每苞片内有花2～3朵，花大、白色，形如蝴蝶，具香气，种子成熟时鲜红色，露出苞片之外。
