落叶乔木，树冠扁圆形。树皮暗粟褐色，光滑而具横纹状光泽，老时变为灰褐色而粗糙。叶卵形至椭圆形，先端尾尖，边缘具芒齿，幼叶淡绿褐色，后叶表绿色，叶背淡绿色。4～5月开花，白或粉红色。3～5朵生于短侧枝顶端，组成伞房状总状花序，有叶状苞片。常见的同属植物有：樱桃(Cerasus pseudocerasus)，基部枝干有丛生气根。叶卵圆形、倒卵形或椭圆形，边缘有尖锐重锯齿，齿尖有小腺体。花2～6朵成总状花序，先叶开放，花瓣白色，先端凹缺。常见的樱花变种有日本晚樱(C.serrulata var.lannesiana)，叶缘带长芒状重锯齿。花大，重瓣，有香味，有很多品种。

记得小时候有一次弄到很多草茉莉的种子，因为觉得它们都很小小的，就统统把它们种在一个迷你盆子里，结果发芽的时候都疯狂的纠结在一起，然后就被姥姥倒进了公园的花池子，之后成了一大片茉莉群

胭脂花的种子，有黑壳，剥开里面有白末，用手捻上去感觉很滑，象是最好的豌豆粉(厨房用的芡粉)。呵呵。

原来这个是胭脂花的种子啊，我小时候都叫它小地雷的，放在玩具枪里当子弹

还真是好象地雷战里面那种地雷哦

Sonata，奏鸣曲，难道跟音乐有关?

Coreopsis - Moonbeam

The Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam’, Coreopsis verticillata, is the most popular perennial in its family. ‘Moonbeam’ was named Perennial of the Year in 1995 and one can see why. With its clusters of light yellow, daisy-like blooms and its green airy fernlike foliage, ‘Moonbeam’ Coreopsis blooms from June through October and is mildew resistant. ‘Moonbeam’ stands at 24” and has a plant spread of 18-24”. ‘Moonbeam’ should be planted in full sun.

It is drought-tolerant and tough but does need well-drained soil. It should be cut backing early and late summer to extend the bloom period. The Aster ‘Professor Kippenburg’, Aster novae-angliae, has beautiful vivid purple daisy-like flowers that cover the plant. The flowers are 1-2” wide with a plant width of 12-18” and a height of 18-20”. It is a definite showstopper. ‘Professor Kippenburg’, blooming in the early fall till frost, is a definite butterfly and bird attractor. ‘Professor Kippenburg’ looks great in borders and mass plantings. The effect is indescribable.

Aster ‘Professor Kippenburg’ does require full sun, but can take some afternoon shade, in a moderate soil range with good drainage that does not become extremely dry during the summer. Aster ‘Professor Kippenburgs’ make an excellent container plant or front of the garden feature and looks great with ornamental grasses.
